		<description>I don't think mundanity is the key, rather a counter-point to the core action.  Paying tolls and bowling make you feel normal and part of the world as opposed to ridiculous killing machine you play in the main game.  

CoD4 juxtaposes action with stealth within it's framework of military action by using different forces with different tactics.
WoW could be said to do it via it's crafting / trading mechanics.  Something that Too Human appears to be aiming for.
Left 4 Dead has opening stated their intention to mix tension with action.
Mass Effect deserves a mention for mixing action with dialogue but failing somewhat (imo) in that it never differentiates your aims.</description>
