Played Podcast actually lives up to weekly claim

In a rare moment of scheduling success, my co-hosts and I at the Played Podcast have lived up to our ostensible weekly format, releasing our latest episode in the week following the previous episode.  Anyone who follows the show will recognize this as something of an achievement for us.

This week’s episode is number 43, and includes Comic-Con talk as well as residual E3 affairs (The Conduit, Fallout 3, Fable 2), and discussion of currently-played games including Siren: Blood Curse, Space Invaders Extreme, Civilization Revolution, Ticket to Ride, Catan, and Everyday Shooter.  Go check it out.

Listened to this one the other day. Always nice to hear Everyday Shooter get more love, though I don’t know how you can put up with the analog-less movement of the PC version.

I own both, but I’m so used to the PS3 version’s analog movement going to 8-way / 1 speed on the PC (even with an analog gamepad) is rough. Mak mentioned in the steam forums after release he forgot about that and plans to patch it, but apparently he’s busy with a new project. There are other issues too, so I hope he gets around to it eventually.

More power to ya if you can handle the 8-way movement. Jonathan Mak says he prefers that too iirc, but for me it makes an already tough game even harder. I’m such a pussy, though I can handle the 8-way shooting just fine.

I really really love that game. I played it for 3 straight months on the PS3. Not every single day, but it was close and since I couldn’t stop playing until all the songs were done or I ran out of lives it really took up a huge chunk of my time. Some days I’d even go through it twice or thrice. I can’t wait to see what he does next.
